.gvfs file issue

When I tried to delete user or home directory associated with that user, it says me /home/test/.gvs :permission denied. I read couple of thread on it. It seems it’s a file related to GNOME. Is there anyway to unmount and mount it again with single command??

What is gvfs-fuse-daemon??
I can see bunch of space occupied by /home/umesh/.gvfs filesystem when I do df -h.

Can anybody give me some idea about it? I also went thru document but seems unclear.

Thanks

gvfs = gnome virtual file system. Are you using gnome ? if so, it is unadvisable to unmount whilst in use.

Andy

yeah I am using gnome but I got trouble when I want to delete any user and it’s home directory.
