Guide installed NVdia driver, Software CAD for Newbie

Hi all,

I am a newbie in linux OS and I am still working on it.
Right now, I have 4 problem. they are :
1). what is the different between installing Nvidia driver in Linux and Windows? I have download Nvidia driver for linux, but I am getting stuck because linux doesnt accept it directly.

2). Same problem as Nvidia driver, I have download bricscad.rpm and I got stuck with it because linux doesn’t accept it or recognize it.

I am sure Linux need something to make the 2 application worked, but I dont have idea what it is.

3). (Sorry, if I put a wrong thread) My link wifi 5100 AGN wont worked even the network connection have been connected. I guess the problem is the MAC address. But I dont have enough information about repair it or changed the MAC address.

4). What is an application which similiar with Yahoo Messanger in linux and it can recognize Yahoo Messanger ID? Or should I use browser only?

About kde or gnome, I used gnome(default) as I saw in the installer DVD. For other informations, I will post it after I have done with the Net connection 1st.
