I have a large number of CD/DVD data backups, image files etc. I would like to have a catalog of them so I can find what I need without mounting countless CDs and DVDs.
GTKtalog is the only GNOME application that I can find that promises to do this. However, it hasn’t been updated since 2003 and has no help files that I can find. It won’t recognize the CD in the drive as mounted, even though Nautilus does. It has the feel of a long-abandoned project just hanging around. Am I missing something?
I used Advanced Disc Catalog under Windows but they don’t seem to offer a Linux version.
