hello i have been trying to add a video to my ipod and get this message

i have installed the mp4v2 library but i don’t now how to compile the gtkpod source together with the mp4v2 library.
so how do i do that?
if you have a better idea how i can add video to my ipod please share 
btw. i am running opensuse 11.2 and KDE 4.3.1
