Gtk warning while launching application

after installation of a s/w for authentication from my ISP I couldnt launch the same and the following msg appears

pradipta@linux-auem:~> sudo sifyconnect
root’s password:
pradipta@linux-auem:~>
(sifyconnect:5062): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

As KDE user use kdesu, as Gnome user use gnomesu for starting X programs as another user (roor in this case).
These tools will take care for telling the application on which display it should run and it will also take acr for the allowance on that display.

You probably need to run gtksudo instead of sudo?

Hey, go wash out your mouth…

It’s gnomesu, kdesu or xdg-su -c on openSUSE!
