Firefox, Thunderbird, Lightread, YaST, LibreOffice, and KDE apps (even when configured to adopt the GTK3 theme) look so very different from Nautilus, Rhythmbox, and other GNOME apps. They look more like GTK2 apps rather than GTK3 apps. On Ubuntu 12.10 they looked matching with a few configurations. Even the fonts look a bit off. I’m on openSUSE 12.3 (GNOME). I had an issue with my graphics driver and I had to resort to IceWM for a few days. I remember accidentally changing the theme there. Could this be the reason? If it is, how do I make the apps look native in GNOME again?
Alt+F2 ==> gnome-tweak-tool ==> Theme followed by copious amounts of Alt+F2 ==> r
I already did that and that’s the problem itself. GNOME apps work perfectly but other apps have a GTK2ish look with different fonts. The colors are more pale and pressing on a menu pushes the menu name (such as “Files”) into a box while the GTK3 theme pushes them into a round-edged square.
