I’m using openSuSE 11.2 M5 and dual boot with ubuntu Karmic alpha4.
Yesterday, Karmic updated his grub to grub2 (version 1.97) and grub of SuSE was lost. I used liveCD and restored grub of SuSE, but SuSE is using grub (version 0.97) then it isn’t support grub2 of Karmic. So I can’t boot to Karmic.
I want to install grub2 in SuSE but SuSE’s repo doesn’t seem to have it.
Can you show me how to install grub2 in SuSE and how to use it?

You could use the current Grub(1) in openSUSE to boot Karmic from the symlinks that are in the root directory of Karmic. There are symlinks called vmlinuz and initrd.img. If you address those from Suse’s menu.lst (the Grub menu), using them in a standard Grub boot entry, then Ubuntu will boot because that bypasses Grub2. PS: this assumes the age old tradition of placing symlinks into the root directory of Ubuntu has not changed with Karmic.
