GRUB2 background image not showing in a multiboot system

Hello,

I have made a fresh install of the latest openSUSE on my Linux partition, but the background image does not show when GRUB2 asks me to select the OS to boot (Win 7 is in another partition). I have checked the /etc/default/grub file and the GRUB_BACKGROUND variable is correctly set to point to the background.png file that comes with the default opensuse theme. Any ideas why it doesn’t show up?

This is clearly not an urgent matter, just an annoying one.

Thanks!

To put it straight: with latest openSUSE you mean 13.2?
(Do not forget that these threads will be here for years to come and in the future people may want to know where this probem was found).

Yes, 13.2.
