grub2 and splash screen styles

Hi
Recently ran an upgrade to 13.2 and have a couple of queries.
The boot menu following an upgrade retains the label 13.1 although now upgraded. I used to be able through yast to change the labels within the bootloader. How do I do this now please?
I really liked the whole style from 13.1 and my system and desktops are all based round a dark theme.I have managed to put back a folder as 13.1 next to the opensuse theme in grub2, and this works ok. Then before the login screen reverts to that wavy green splash, where do I find that to replace it? There is probably a proper way to do this but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks:)

Change the “Distributor” string in YaST->System->Boot Loader->Boot Code Options (should be opened by default).

Btw, a fresh 13.2 installation uses just “openSUSE” to circumvent that upgrade “problem” in the future…

That’s plymouth, the boot splash. Its themes are in /usr/share/plymouth/themes/.
There’s another thread about this already, try to search for that as it contains more detailed instructions.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply…
I will try the change within the distributer box, i was wary of this as the default load box options I thought may have been affected.
For the themes, I did find the /usr/share areas and with these in the search string I found the other post and with that have sorted the problem.
Thanks again.
