GRUB How-To or tutorial for openSuse?

opensuse 12.3
linux v3.7.10-1.16-desktop x86_64

Is there a how-to or tutorial specifically about using GRUB in openSuse? In particular with regard to booting from a RAID array (in my case a RAID10). More particularly the “resume” option. And, oh what the hell, the rest of the options.

The wiki documentation is pretty useless; half the links do not work, the rest link to deprecated/unsupported information. Nothing about how to do anything using YaST::Boot Loader.

I have looked at <doc.opensuse.org>. It had nothing for RAID or option descriptions.
I have looked at <www.gnu.org/software/grub/>. They have no native docs, just references to others; not useful for opensuse.

YaST takes care of installing GRUB. It’s straight forward and easy. Do you want grub installed on /? Or maybe the first sector of the hard drive? Or maybe the MBR. Given you have a RAID, I’d go MBR.

You mean apart from the full, recently rewritten manual?

http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/

I do agree it could be better signposted

And I have a Grub2 Bash helper script that provides many concentrated capabilities you will want to see: GNU Grub2 Command Listing Helper with --help & Input - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

Thank You,
