Green Screen of Nothingness.

Hi guys!

After installation process was complete, I rebooted and was presented with a Green Screen with nothing, no mouse no buttons. I did wait a good 30 minutes as I assumed it was configuring the desktop for first use…anyway, Recovery works fine.

What commands should I run to fix this problem? LOL

Nah, it’s the regular wallpaper, except there are no icons or anything that can be clicked or selected. :smiley:

I tried the KDE version, booted just fine, but cursor was all over the place. Now I am using Gnome, but isnt working properly either lol.

More information needed:

  1. What version (&, just guessing
    it is, but it is openSUSE, is it not?); 1. What Desktop (Gnome, KDE, or ?);
  2. What did you use to install it with?;
  3. At what point does it stop (ie: Before the Grub menu, after the Grub menu, at the login screen, or?)?;
  4. What partitioning and formatting did you use for the install?;
  5. Is it dual boot?;
  6. What kind of PC did you install it on?;
  7. Is the PC UEFI or not?; and
  8. What graphic card do you have?

… for starters.
:wink:

Right click does anything?

Sometimes you could get an alternative and very simple desktop. There
are many desktops types, and some do not have a panel with menu, but
right click anywhere and you get a menu.
