Try logging in as root. Type init3 to switch to single user mode. When the login reappears, login as root and run sax2 to configure.

When the grub menu comes , i tried to login as single user mode ( i mean init 1 ) , by editing the grub . I was successful in logging as single user mode. Whenever i tried run , sax2 , sax2 tries to configure my resolution with respect to my graphics card and thus failed many a times by displaying a error message which is stored in /var/log/messages.
Actually , the main problem is that , the resolution of my graphics card & that of the monitor is not same .
My graphics card supports 1200x1024 but the monitor can support upto 1024x768 only…
I even tried to change the xorg.conf , but was not successful .I got some cpu frequency problem after reboot and sax2 error … and i suppose somehow or other the model of my monitor has to be changed…

Please help me !!!
With Regards…
