I have just bought a new PC, which uses the integrated graphics built into the motherboard rather than a graphics card. I have also installed Suse 11.4, but have been disappointed by the inability to obtain good graphics when either using archived tv programmes or streaming tv.
For example, when using the BBC’s iplayer, I can get a good picture only when the screen is not maximised. If I maximise the image then the sound continues, but the picture freezes. On my old computer, using 11.1, this was not the case, since I got a good picture in either basic or maximised mode.
I’m guessing I might need a graphics card, but thought I would ask your opinion first.

I do not have much knowledge here, but I can imagine that those who have and who could help you, would be very much interested in any technical details you have about make and type of the system and the graphical hardware. Else it would be a case of looking into their crystal balls wouldn’t it?
