GQRX not detecting Airspy in Leap 15.2

Dear all,
I am using Leap 15.2 and installed GQRX to operate a SDR Airspy HF+.
The device Airspy HF+ is not detected by Leap 15.2.

I am operating the same SDR device with a Raspberry Pi 4 and it works perfect.

First question,
Did you install from an openSUSE repository, and if so, which one?
Although the project website doesn’t build RPMs, it looks like a very recent version can be found in the hardware:sdr repo.

Also,
I’m not familiar with the hardware that is being detected, but I’m wondering if it has to be powered and on or otherwise configured possibly including a firewall to accept communications. Your log suggested that your SDR attempted to connect to a number of different types of devices and detected something that actively rejected your connection attempt.

Have you added your user to the rtlsdr group?

When you say not detected, is the device seen in the lsusb output, have you tried testing the device?

I installed GQRX from here:

The SDR device is connected and powered via USB port.
I know there is not a problem in the SDR because I am using the same one under Raspberry Pi 4 and it works.

When I click on “Device” of the combo box (now appears “other”) when starting GQRX, Airspay is not in in the list to be selected. it is like the Airspy is not detected, so I cannot connect to it.

So the device isn’t seen at all. On the RPi4, what OS and kernel are running and lsusb output?

Likely a bug report will be needed, a udev rule updated perhaps for the device. Do you know what chipset is in the device?

Yes, I imagine those must be required to install the udev vendor:device id for airspy.
Otherwise, I’d expect that the vendor:device id can be found in your RPi setup (or described somewhere on the Internet).

Used to have to do this regularly to enable discovery of early Android devices all the time…

If you can find the relevant udev entry on the RPi4 (udevadm monitor) and plug the device in, you should see the rule being called, then duplicate that rule into /etc/udev/rules.d in the openSUSE system. Then run the monitor (udevadm monitor) again on the openSUSE system and should see it called?
