now like in one of my first posts with ppsspp if i use ppsspp and set it to opengl it will use my dgpu just finr BUT if i specifically set it to vulkan and choose the polaris11 card it STILL uses the apu or raven card for vulkan

You can enable vulkan, go to chrome://flags/#enable-vulkan and enable.
Steam, have no idea as don’t use it Seems to me it may be an actual steam issue…
interesting so i enabled vulkan then launched chromeium with switcharoo and it opened and then closed and opened again???

and it did open with dgpu but now says vulkan disabled
???
BUT i opened chrmium with vulkan enabled WITHOUT the dgpu switcharoo ergo on the vega8 and it did not restart chrome and vulkan IS enabled
so what should i do now?
yea ive tried opensse tumbleweed iv tried leap also i tried switcharoo and amd gpu pro drivers and ive tried linux mint and manjaro linux and they ALL do the sae thing the dgpu will not run vulkan no matter what i do in steam it falls back to vega8 and in anything else it falls back to opengl. i have enabled and disabled many or well of the few settings in bios ive returned to default ive use secure boot non secure boot all kindsof commands with proton in steam im about to burn this ****ing laptop.

i sold that laptop to a friend but i put windows on it and the dedicated 560 gpu works compleatly fine with directx stuff in windows.
so i guess problem solved since the friend only uses directx
