Gpu crash while playing games [20241205]

the probelm statred happening yesterday while playing helldivers 2
i could reproduce the issue today again with the same setup :

  • obs with replay buffer enabled
  • HELLDIVERS II running through gamescope
  • firefox/vesktop/steam in background idling

so far i could only reproduce this issue with hd2

when the issue happens, the entire system freezes for a few seconds, then the main monitor (where the game is displayed) goes black and doesn’t turn back on (OUT OF RANGE error on the monitor OSD) unless i switch to TTY

VRR enabled on all screens
