On any distribution I used (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora, Arch, Gentoo ) “gpasswd -a user group” worked and added user memeber of group, except openSuse, where gpassd does not know this option. I know, can change user settings in yast, kuser, but with gpasswd was easyer…
Is there a specific reason why with gpassd from openSuse can’t do that? Or can I change something to make it work?
Hi
Yes, gpasswd is a little different, use the usermod -A group user
option.
