Gordon Moore of "Moore's Law" dead at 94

We probably would not have affordable computers without Gordon Moore - He helped develop the 1st integrated circuit at Fairchild and the micro computer at Intel (the 4004 - only a partial success). He championed the 8008 which lead to the 8080 to the 8086 to the chips we use today. Competition from Zilog (Z80) and NEC (V20 and V30) forced Intel to create better processors (8085 and the 8086 and 8088).

Yep, Great dude and what anazing things he has achieved. Its a pitty that technology is not always sticking to moores law, especially with SSD technology which has existed for a long timwe, but has not recieved the same innovation that other more tradidional media has.
