Google Repo: Chrome has weird dependencies

I enabled the Google Linux repository as described here because I wanted an easy way to install and test the Chrome (Chromium?) browser.

It works fine but all the Chrome packages seem to have dependencies on Qt. I am using Gnome and installing a browser which is based on GTK shouldn’t require me to install hundreds of megs of Qt dependencies, should it? Is this just an oversight by Google?

If you want to try Chromium (not Chrome), enable the Contrib repository or go on OBS and install Chromium. Chrome has known problems but I have never encountered any of them in Chromium.

And yes, it is more than an oversight - Google could be using OBS to package Chrome for openSUSE but chooses to do it without using the obvious tool.
