Is someone else experiencing trouble getting latest Google Earth to run on 64 bit 11.2??

Ive got glibc 2.11.1 installed, and noted there is 2.11.2 on Base/factory, dont know if an update there could harm something else

Yep, i ran the installer as a regular user.
I uninstalled and installed again:

What video card are you running and what driver for it? GE requires a 3D accel driver.
Im using a HD2600XT. Radeon opensource 6.13.0 drivers on kernel 2.6.34. 3D acceleration is working fine, as i was able to launch previous versions of GE correctly.
