Google Earth 7.x on Linux (Ever solved?)

Hello, I was using Google Earth 6.2 on openSUSE 13.1, and it works fine, but I want newest version. In the new version, the problem is with panoramio photos. I think it’s very important to make this work in Earth, but in v7.x if you open image from a place, it shows white (with location text), or it just crash application.

Cannot use Earth browser plugin because it’s only available on Windows or Mac.

Has anybody solved that problem and how. *Please don’t post me links with other threads, only solution or site with the solution, without much conversation. I don’t have a time for it.

Thank you.*

Seems to work here, but solution is not trivial. Since you don’t have time for much conversation, it’s not worth expending my time writing it. Sorry.

This is a well-known bug, and a very quick search on Google will supply
you with a messy but workable fix. I have Panoramio working on my 13.1
64-bit system.

That’s a shame. I have the link right here.

There’s a post here in the forums that explains it.
