google-earth 7 - no photos displayed

Hi,

my Environment is:
Suse Leap 42.1
Google-Earth 7.1.4.1529
Laptop acer Aspire V3 772G

If I click on a photo symbol in google earth bit it shows only an empty white box. Waiting for a while does not help hence it is not a network issue.

PS: same problem was reported in a linuxmint forum: http://www.linuxmintusers.de/index.php?topic=29536.15

Any Idea?
