google chrome does not start on tumble

Hello everybody,

it is the first time that has happened to me. I performed a fresh installation of tumble (kde) and downloaded (after installing the key, as indicated: https://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/) and installed google chrome. I haven’t had any error messages, but chrome doesn’t start. from searches carried out on the system it seems that there is no binary and therefore the reference links (to the binary) are all red.
what can I do?

I thank

Well I can confirm that Chrome is working under Tumbleweed.

It might be worth:

1 - Adding the Chrome repo to Yast which is at:

http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64

2 - Then using Yast to re-install Chrome

Try

sudo mount -a && google-chrome

If that works, please report back. You might sufffer from an issue that unmounts btrfs subvolumes, but a fix is already in the Unreviewed HowTo … subforum

I have the same issue. It started after the update earlier this week. When I try to start Chrome, either nothing happens or a window starts to open and disappears immediately. My cure was the equivalent of banging on the monitor. I just kept trying to start it and on the third or fourth try, it works. I just did a zypper dup without checking for Chrome. If the problem is fixed, I’ll post.

thank you for your helpfulness and kindness, but i have hw problems with the pc.
excuse me
