Google-chrome and Kwallet

I want the native security and database system of Chrome to control the username/password and form-data processes, not KDE’s Kwallet. How do I stop Kwallet from controlling passwords and form data?

Thanks

Hi
Integrate the two?

To integrate kwallet and google chrome, all you have
to do is to append ‘–password-store=kwallet’ to the .desktop file that
launches chrome or chromium. The passwords that you actually have in
chrome will be imported into kwallet.

I misled you. I want Kwallet to not be involved at all with chrome. Every time I open chrome, the kwallet login opens and I have to click cancel because I don’t want Kwallet to be involved. How do I tell Kwallet to bug off when chrome opens?

[the reason I want Kwallet to be not involved is because I am syncing everything associated with chrome, calendars, android phone (music and so on) to google’s cloud, and Kwallet is presumably interfering by trying to keep chrome’s passwords and form data]

Swerdna,
Give this a try Kickoff>Configure Desktop>Account Details>KDE Wallet, uncheck the box Enable the Kwallet Subsystem. WFM

Yes, that works, thanks.

FWIW there’s a design flaw in Kwallet if we really can’t separate individual apps from the Kwallet process.

You can. If all is well, kWallet asks permission to store passwords, this on application level. IME users preferably click “Allow always” :D.

Hmmm… well mine is broken then. So I’ll try rooting it out entirely and starting again.

I am not about to put that stuff up in anybodies cloud. Just the same I
would gladly get rid of kwallet, rather completely. It doesn’t rip out by
the roots worth a damn.

INSISTING that i use kwallet. >:…(( I will see if it behaves now.
