Google Calendar is read only

I am using Evolution 3.2.1 and have added my google calendar but it is ‘read only’.
Is it possible to have this as a read/write calendar so appointments can be added from Evolution?

Using exactly this for ages now, my guess is that this would be a setting in Google Calendar. Mine is 100% read-write, works perfect.

Is it working on both your 11.3 and Tumbleweed installations? In Evolution, the new calendar setup doesn’t even ask for google password. I see no place in google calendar to select a setting to allow writing from evolution.

You might need to specify exactly what plug-in is being used to import Google app data, some plugins are Read-Only.

Can you advise which plug-in is required?

Sorry,
I don’t have one setup now, but your post reminds me of the issues I encountered when I last worked on this a couple years ago (and I understand little has changed).

You may end up needing to implement a hybrid approach, Evolution for most uses and Web access for editing… After all, how often should someone really be modifying their calendar(s) compared to reading only?
