Gnome3 application indicator not using shell them icon

I recently migrated to openSUSE and decided to give gnome3 a try again. I installed a shell theme, icon theme, and some extensions to make it a little nicer:

Everything seems to be working nicely, the one issue that I have noticed is that the appindicator icon is for Dropbox is not using the Dropbox icon for the Gnome icon theme that I have installed. I was interested to see if anyone knew how I come override this behavior and use the Dropbox icon from the icon theme.

Hi
I’ve removed the link as it 403’s, plus it’s hidden. Suggest you use http://paste.opensuse.org/ set to never expire please!

Where did you get the theme from? Or did you install manually via the tweak tool?

Don’t really know if this might be related, but apparently there are some problems with shared-mime-info overriding vendor icons with default generic ones, maybe because of an improper priority management by gvfs or something.
See this https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/513680-icons-in-gnome-desktop for instance.

I am using the ZukiShell gnome shell theme and I installed it using Gnome Tweak Tool

Gnome Tweak Tool

Hi
OK, so it is actually using the icons from the theme, but it still uses
the nautilus plugin emblems which are not part of the icon theme eg the
green check mark for up to date.
See;

ls /usr/share/nautilus-dropbox/emblems/

Hmm, I don’t see a regular Dropbox icon in that directory only the ones that are displayed over the folders within nautilus. I believe that this link should work to show the icon I am try to change: Dropbox - screenshot.jpg - Simplify your life

Hi
On openSUSE Leap, I see the same, I see it change to sync, so it appears it’s embeded into the dropbox code in serializeimages.py and nautilus-dropbox.c (GtkIconTheme * icon_theme = gtk_icon_theme_get_default():wink: I would raise a bug on dropbox to see why it’s not using the selected (screen?) icons.

Will do, thanks for helping me find the root cause.
