Installing an HP Color Laserjet 2840 printer using Yast on Gnome Desktop.
I have no problem establishing the lan connection to the printer and this connection then tests OK, but when I go to next step and try and select a driver from the list of HP printers shown, the screen freezes completely so I cannot proceed. Tried many times with no luck.
Where should I start looking for problems?
Pretty much lost without any printing so help needed urgently please.

Try running gnomesu hp-setup which will configure using hplip and cups.
