Gnome window does not display fonts and icons after upgrading to 15.6

Hello, I have issues with one old notebook after upgrading to 15.6. Some application windows like settings, nautilus or calculator do not display the fonts and icons.

Other windows work though, like tweaks

I have reinstalled the gnome desktop environment

sudo zypper rm -t pattern gnome

sudo zypper in -t pattern gnome

I have tried different themes, like dracula, and you can see that the colors change, but the fonts are still missing.

I have done the full distro upgrade again, following the steps from here

https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book-startup/cha-update-osuse.html

I have done the same with a Desktop PC, and it didn’t show this problem.

Any ideas? It is something related to GTK I think, but it is my first time with Gnome ( I am comming from Linux Mint Cinnamon)

@mariuspy Hi, it’s a bug https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1226135 zypper in typelib-1_0-Nautilus-4_0

Hello, I have the same problem here, after upgrading from 15.5 to 15.6 in a Gnome-Session some apps like calculator or nautilus are displayed without buttons and fonts and are unusable therefore. Actually there was two problems: 1st, nautilus dind’t start in any way. That problem could be solved the way malcolmlewis described. Now, nautilus comes up, but without fonts and buttons. While searching for solutions I found

but doing so was not the solution.
The upgrade was made by booting from the official install image, booted from a stick. The computer is an old Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo U9200 with integrated Intel GPU.
I run Gnome under X, but of course I tried Wayland, but no difference.
BTW: zypper rm or in -t pattern gnome doesn’t reinstall the gnome-desktop
Any hints?
Thank you in advance
