Gnome Terminal from Firefox

Hi.
Does anyone knows how to start a gnome-terminal from firefox url?
With a protocol or something? Is this possible?
Or any other command line.

Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to do this on a remote system?

If you are, have a look at webmin, it’s got a plugin that will let you
execute commands on the remote system as well as connect to it via ssh
(implemented as a Java plugin).

you have not said, but i see you have not been here long so i guess
you don’t have a lot of experience with openSUSE…

i guess that because it seems you are using the install software
procedures and techniques of other operating systems and/or distros.

here, in openSUSE it is very seldom necessary to go to a web site, find
an application, download it, click on it, and etc…

instead most everyone uses the openSUSE store house of applications
which are known to be clean and ready to run on openSUSE…we call the
storage locations repositories (or ‘repos’) for short…

if you did a default install you are already connected to most of the
repos you need for a healthy and amazingly versatile system…

like, what is the application you are wanting to install (i bet it is in
the repos, easy to install without going to any website in a browser)…

I’m not sure I understand what you mean.

Can you provide an example - if you’re trying to install an app, let us
know what app you’re trying to install and we’ll walk you through how to
do it.
