Hello everyone;
I have moved to Linux OpenSuse 11.0, but there are many things I wanna know about. First thing is I wanna master dealing with the Gnome-terminal, Is there any good source to learn it? second thing is regarding the anti virus software, where can I find it?, last thing is, as for Pidgin, it does not support voice chatting. Are there any plugsin or alternative software for that purpose.
Thanks in advance

An excellent “Bash Guide for Beginners”:

More helpful and complete “Rute User’s Tutorial and Exposition”:

Don’t need it. I’ve never used it. The only reason anyone might run it would be
so that you do not accidentally forward a Window$ virus to one of your still
using Window$ friends.
Well, if you dual boot and then allow Window$ to access what you fetch off the
net with Linux I guess you SHOULD already have a very good anti-virus on that
Window$ side. As should you friends–so, there is NO need to have any anti-virus
junk on the Linux side, at all.

Skype <http://www.skype.com/> works real well for voice, text, file transfer,
and video.
Thank you for your kind help.
as I understood from the explanation regarding the antivirus, I do not need one even if I am using external hard drive between both platform (because now I am in transitional period!) but this sounds great.
Again thank you for your help.

Correct, 99.99% of all viruses known to earth attack MS-Windows ONLY. They will
not run in Linux.
Even if you try REAL HARD to get them to run (like by using WINE to give a more
Windowisk environment) it is still almost impossible to do any real damage. See
this funny try: http://www.linux.com/articles/42031
The ClamAV <http://www.clamav.net/> he mentions is what most Linux folks use who
want to go out of their way to help their poor Windows using friends protect
their frail systems. Personally, I feel that protecting their M$ware is their
job and there is no need for me to spend my system’s cycles trying in vain to
help them.
