GNOME System Monitor freezes

Hi there to all!

I`m running openSUSE 11.2, with GNOME 2.28 - made a fresh install.

Everything went smooth and nice, and I did not made any changes to my system, when I saw that GNOME System Monitor freezes when clicking on the “System” tab.

Anyone had this problem? I never had it till… now…
Somebody has, please, some solution?

Thank you so much!

I confirm that is a bug. I reported it with the bug application.

Two things are happening with my GNOME System Monitor:

  1. When Im trying to open GNOME System Monitor, nothing happens... (from the gui - Ill try to open it from command prompt to see what errors gives)

  2. GNOME System Monitor works perfect, with all the tabs, System tab included!

Hi
Have you updated the system via the update icon? If so it may be
related to this;

If you think you have a bug, it’s better to report via bugzilla (after
searching first :wink: ) rather than upstream;

openSUSE is perfectly updated, and, yes, I think it`s a bug.

Reported it via Bugzilla also:

Hi all, first post in this forum.

I can confirm this bug. In my case the sys-monitor works perfectly except if I try to select the first tab ( System ), in which case it hangs forever .

I have happened upon this problem too. I noticed if I run gnome-system-monitor as root, it works fine.

I had the same problem even after updating to gnome 2.30.
For my case i just updated my system and it worked fine after.
So far i haven’t been able to pinpoint the actual update that fixes the problem.
I will post it after i get the exact update.
