Hello everybody,
I’m having some troubles with ksudoku, so I want to try gnome-sudoku but I didn’t find it anyway.
I’m using openSUSE 11.0 (and I’m new to suse).
Try:
gnomesu <application>
It seems that su means more Super User than SUdoku
I don’t realize the problem. Do you want to solve a Sudoku or do you want your PC solve it for you? Getting a Sudoku is quite easy, let the computer solve one, you have to start with “leer starten”. That allows you to give in your own numbers.
I want to play gnome-sudoku.
Hello, I will ask again the same question :
Is there anybody here who installed successfully the game “gnome-sudoku” WITH YAST.
thx

Yes, that’s it. Is there any repo where I can get it with YAST?
(for jsudoku, I try it before and it’s for me unreadable)

Hi
Doesn’t look like it, so you would need to compile from the source
tarball at the site.

I use the Suse package for sudoku often. But I run Gnome desktop if that makes any difference. It’s in the repositories if not on your menu. Not sure what else to say.
It’s a beautiful version of the game.
Oh nice it’s good to hear that the package is available for gnome out of the box. For my case I’m using the KDE4 version of SUSE, so is there a way to get this gnome package?
You need “gnome-games” package.
Also it’s a good idea to have local console version of webpin (package “webpin”) and if you want to know what package owns gnome-sudoku, just run “webpin -c gnome-sudoku”.
