Gnome problems

Hi! After upgrading to 11.4 I have two problems with Gnome:

  • netstatus-applet is not visible neither on the panel, not in the list of available applets although the package is installed

  • In QtCurve theme the applet handles on the panel are invisible (although they exist and one can move the applet by dragging these handles).

Hi
You mean the gnome-system-monitor applet which can be configured for your requirements?

If you right-click and the applet handles and select properties, maybe the are set to transparent?

Is compiz running, as there may be some effects set here as well.

Only two. An improvement on KDE4 then…

No. I mean gnome-netstatus-applet.

No, it is not transparent. If to right-click the place where it was, the panel menu appears. There is no such applet on the panel. Compiz is not running.

Hi
I’m assuming this is the same system that compiz isn’t working (your other thread), if so to have 106 repositories added is just <words fail me>.

At this point I don’t plan to offer any further advise, my apologies.
