New to Linux. Somehow deleted part of the bottom panel that showed which applications are running – power management, media player if running, etc. It WAS located to the left of sound master icon. Please help to restore it. Also, is there any way to easily check all running applications are currently running?

If you right-click on the panel, Add to panel and scroll down the list
and re add ‘Notification Area’
In a terminal if you run either;
ps -ef
ps -el
ps -aux |grep <username>
or iterations to meet your requirements, see the man page for ps and
grep. If you want a GUI, use the system monitor.
