I stumbled upon one annoying thing/BUG, i understand the window where you type in search for things in the main gnome main menu is supposed to find an application right?
It’s backend is beagle right?
So while searching for everything works fine then applications just don’t show up. I even added /usr/share/applications in hope it will show me some apps but nada. Anyone knows why and how to fix it?
Hi,
I am not sure it is supposed to find apps, maybe it searches a file associated to a given app =S. In my case, it searches files right, but when try looking up firefox ,for example, in the applications section it cannot find it, but I confess I am not big fan of it so don’t use it often and have few knowledge of the Beagle Search.
Hope someone else can help you.
Regards
Well you’re maybe right BUT in index applications it shows x Applications Indexed so why don’t they show up…
I’d like it to show me “live” output of the searches just like in KDE 4.
