Gnome Login

I can’t find an option to change the GDM login screen. I am running gnome, don’t like the all green and the option for all the username’s being shown. I found a theme but I have not clue how to install it. If there is an option to not show the username that will work to.

Hi
To remove the user list as root user edit the gdm greeter schema;

sudo vi /etc/gconf/schemas/gdm-simple-greeter.schemas

Look for the following key and a few lines down change the FALSE to
TRUE .
/schemas/apps/gdm/simple-greeter/disable_user_list

To update the changes run;

sudo /usr/bin/gconftool-rebuild

Since gdmsetup has been removed you need to have a read here for
configuration changes;
http://library.gnome.org/admin/gdm/2.24/configuration.html.en

gconf-editor is another tool where you can make changes as well.
