Gnome login very slow

Hello,

I’m new to openSUSE, I just migrated from Ubuntu GNOME to experience a more professional Linux distro. My experience so far is very good except for the GNOME login.

My problem is that when I log into GNOME, I get a black screen and it looks like GNOME crashed. After waiting roughly 40 seconds, it starts up normally.

Information:

  • It is a fresh install with a dualboot (windows 10)
  • It keeps happening after multiple restarts
  • I ran the command:
systemd-analyze blame

Blame only takes you up to the login screen

What video??

Maybe try a different DM Seems like a lot of problems with GDM have been reported of late.
