GNOME login screen question

I’m currently using openSUSE 12.2 x64 with GNOME desktop and would like to know what options there are for modifying the login screen. Specifically I am looking to end up with a login screen where you have to manually type both the username and password (if possible) for slightly better security, unlike the default setup where you can select a username with the keyboard/mouse and then type the password. I remember being able to do this before with openSUSE 11.3, also GNOME, with one of our old laptops at work so it would be nice if I were able to do the same thing here. Can this be done?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
