Gnome Legacy, a theme for Gnome users.

Hello Everyone,
I know most SuSE users are KDE users, but I used to run GNOME alot when I ran SuSE. So I wanted to share with you a theme I have been working on. Gnome Legacy is a hybrid theme, by hybrid theme I mean the theme takes the best of light and dark themes then molds them into one theme that looks professional, is appealing to the eyes, while maintaining a level of compatibility that can not be achieved by a normal dark theme.

A big feature of this theme is that it is color customizable. So if you dont like the shade or the color of many of the default colors you may simply change them to something of your liking.

If there is something you do not like. Please take the time to post it here so I may continue to improve this and other themes like it in the future.

looks cool indeed and it’s a very nice theme… Unfortunately, (and this is by no means an attack on your theme), no matter how you turn it, GTK just looks UGLY

hehe… I feel ya… If you look really close tho you will see a few hints of KDEish looking widgets. But dont tell anyone… lol!

Yes, saw them :wink: and the theme in itself is nice, good color balance and contrast :slight_smile:

Obviously you never used Murrine.
And if you want ugly I think oxygen looks like ****.

I like the Cleanlooks and Klearlooks themes for KDE. They IMHO look much better then the original Clearlooks GTK theme.
Oxygen KDE theme is really bland to me, I think they could have spent a little more time on that theme and it would have really shinned.

yes clearlooks is not much to look at, though I like its “glossy” style.
