It is the first time that I install both Gnome and KDE in open suse
Should I update it separately , because
Gnome is always complaining that there are 12 updates pending.
Anyhow that is what icon on the task bar said
IF I startup the on line update nothing come up

There may not be updates available or other important packages available for Gnome, and thus may not come up on the online update menu, but may be patches that come up on the task bar. If you want to see which items are available for installation, right click on the updater icon and click the option for viewing updates available. There, you can see what updates you have available for installation. As for the separate part: from experience, any KDE updates that are available will come up for the Gnome updater, considering they are all packages installed on your system.
