I installed openSuse 11 the other day with the Gnome desktop. I’d like
to add the KDE desktop too. What do I need to download/install to do
this and then how do I select to startup in such? Thanks!

In Yast - Software Management -
Filter by Patterns
You have a choice of kde3 or kde4 or both.
Might we suggest starting with kde3
Add kde3base
kde3desktop
video eg: here ‘Adding KDE3 in Yast from Patterns, then Update from
Build Service. OS11.0 - By carl4926’ (http://tinyurl.com/645jar )
Note the build service repo too
Disable auto login in Yast security and users (there is an advanced or
other button)
Yhen you can choose kde3 from the login screen, lower left ‘session’
