Gnome desktop: revert to old style

Hi I’m a fedora refugee after FC14.
Nice installer, how do I get the normal gnome desktop with the three pull down menus, I’d like to be able to see what apps I have loaded , instead of plastering the desktop with icons, the more applications button seems to be broken at the moment.
I apologies for the newbie type questions, there will be more, as I’ve a lot of software to load & dev libs.

Thanks Richard

Hi
You mean the Menu Bar (A custome menu bar) rather than the slab menu?
Right-click on the panel and select add to Panel, then scroll down the
list. You can then right-click on the main menu and remove.

Did as you said, but right clicking on the menu does not remove or give an option to remove.
so I installed the menu bar.

sorry another but
clicking on the applications on the bar shows an empty menu, clicking on more applications on the slab
brings up “failure loading applications menu”

I could get used to the slab, as long as I can see what apps I have.
its a pain to have to search and drag an icon onto the desktop.

Thanks

Hi
Sounds like some hangovers left. Create a new user, does it work there?
