Hi all,
I’ve made some changes in the GNOME:Cinnamon repository for the upcoming future considering mainly the development of upstream Cinnamon and the life cycle of openSUSE. The changes introduced were the following:
[ul]
[li]openSUSE 12.1[/li]
[li]Disable builds on 12.1 repository (featuring GNOME 3.2). Cinnamon 1.4.0 will become the last stable release (subject to patches if needed) for stock openSUSE 12.1 with GNOME 3.2;[/li][li]Created 12.1_G34 repository to host newer versions of Cinnamon for GNOME 3.4 technology. Users need to install GNOME 3.4 (once it’s available) prior to installing this repository;[/li][/ul]
[li]Tumbleweed[/li][ul]
[li]Disabled builds for Tumbleweed; once Tumbleweed moves to GNOME 3.4 updates will become available once more.[/li][/ul]
The changes being introduced in Cinnamon target GNOME 3.4 and might not be backwards compatible with GNOME 3.2, therefore this seems to be the best option available for users.
