GNOME animations not working

Hello everyone, struggling Linux newbie here.

I recently installed openSUSE 13.2 on my system, after the installation on the first boot I noticed that there were no fancy animations.
For example when I pressed the system key the windows didn’t gradually translate and zoom-out to the Activities Overview, instead I switched to the Activities Overview immediately.
Using the dconf-editor I checked if the setting org.gnome.desktop.interface.enable-animations was turned off, it wasn’t.
I also updated everything by running $ sudo zypper update, the problem still didn’t go away. I have no idea of what could be the reason.

System details:
GNOME version: 3.14.2
Memory: 15.6 GiB
Processor: AMD FX™-8320 Eight-Core Processor x 8
Graphics: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.5, 128 bits)
Base system: openSUSE 13.2 (Harleqiun) (x86_64) 64-bit
