Gnome 3 tooltips colour problem

OpenSuse12.3/Gnome 3 newbie here.

can anyone tell me how to change the tooltip colours in Gnome 3?

My problem is that the image tooltips in Digikam have changed from black on white to pale green or blue (it’s hard to discern) on white, rendering them useless. Response to my enquiries on the digikam-users mailing list have pointed at Gnome rather than Digikam (which figures, because the change appeared after a system update).

I have seen how in KDE this may be done, but I can’t find anything in yast that looks helpful.

How do I change this colour please?

TIA

Try this :-

GNOME 3.6.2
openSUSE Release 12.3 (Dartmouth) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.7.10-1.16-desktop

Since Digikam is a KDE application, it uses the KDE settings.
So you have to change that colour in KDE’s systemsettings (“Configure Desktop”), try to run it (“systemsettings”) in a terminal or in the Alt+F2 dialog if you don’t find it in the menu. Maybe you have to install it first, it’s in the package “kdebase4-workspace”.

The corresponding setting should be in “Application Appearance”->“Colours”.

Thanks, both.
