Gnome 3.8.3: Gnome-shell search does not work

Hello
I use OpenSUSE 12.3 64 bits.
If I search for “firefox”, no result; if I search for “transmission”, no result, etc.
Any solution?

Hi,
I use KDE, not Gnome, so I’m probably not the one that can help you that much.

But anyway, it is quite clear that you could give a bit more information.

When did you install 12.3 ?

In which way did you install ?

What kind of PC are you using ?

If you say more about that then chances are that you get an answer.

press left window key on keyboard and just type the name of the
application you want and it will show up.
You can also try alt+F2 followed by entering application name
