Gnome 3.32 crashes on Wayland

After update gnome desktop just crashes after I login and try press “Supper” key

configuration:
Gnome 3.32 Wayland + intel (or nvidia) driver
(Lenovo Thinkpad 580 T laptop)

under X session it works but creepy - mouse cursor is constantly blinking and gnome-shell consume 100% CPU

UPD

reproducible with

  • HDMI Display
  • closed laptop lid
  • ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dockstation

in case with thunderbolt display and open lid - works fine

Hi
Are you using extensions? If so disable temporarily and see if it
duplicates.

Problem was solved by reinstalling KDE Plasma (which was removed right before update).
And I can’t understand hoe it helped but looks like there are some dependencies (probably from extensions, mentioned in prev comment)

Interesting. Gnome 3.32 seems stable here, but then I kept KDE.

I’m wondering if the link between the two (Gnome and KDE) exists only in user settings files. Maybe a completely new user would have found Gnome to be stable.

Found!

today I need to reinstall system, so I did it with GNOME only
situation repeated

tried recommendation with gnome extension - disable all - and it helped

then enabling one by one I found which causes issue - “Multi monitors add-on”

thanks
Solved

Thanks for that update.
