Recently extended my install with GNOME 3.20. In one account ( clean ) I can enable the Application Menu extension fine, in the other (mine) something seems to crash, in the settings the Application Menu is greyed out after trying once. On KDE I know my way around “under the hood”, where could the culprit in my homedir be that causes this extension to crash?

You need to update them for your user as they are outdated, visit https://extensions.gnome.org click on installed extensions and delete (press the red X) and re-add. I’m guessing you had updated the system and added the extensions to the new user…
It can take a few days for the extension maintainers to update for newer gnome-shells…

It’s definitely something somewhere in my homedir. In the other user account the extensions work as expected. Any logs that I could check ?
