I’ve changed the scaling factor in LXQt, the LXQt Session Settings window, Global Screen Scaling field. Now everything is big and the global screen scaling field is somewhere down, outside the monitor. I can’t reach it, I see only the right corner of the window. I need a terminal command to reset the whole thing, to resize the window or something…
It’s been a while since I used LXQt the last time (maybe I will look into it again once 2.0 is released).
Can you give the output of xrandr
?
Do you have a .config-file named something with monitor, screen or something like that in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/
?
I’m not an LXQt user, but this may be able to help anyway. In a terminal, run xrdb -query | grep dpi. If you get a null answer, or a value of 96, my initial hunch is off target. If it’s something else, search through your config files in your homedir for the string Xft.dpi. If you find it, with a value other than 96, try reducing its value, preferably one that is a multiple of 12 (to limit its potential negative impact on font rendering). Then restart your X session.
