Hi! I got openSUSE and in the GIMP download webpage GIMP - Downloads I got two options:
SUSE users can install GIMP by running yast -i gimp or zypper in gimp, depending on the distribution version.
… which should I choose?
Thanks!!!

i prefer
-open YaST
-give root password when asked
-go Software Management
-type gimp in Search box, and click Search button
-left click to put a check mark next to the package named gimp
-click “Accept” (bottom right)
-YaST will probably then show a long list of other things it wants to
install (all associated with gimp) say ok…
-sit on your hands until it finishes…
-go to menu and click on GIMP and enjoy!!

Thanks dude! Just for asking, which is the MAIN differences?
afaik, there’s no difference between yast -i and zypper in. the result will be the same. whenever i’m to lazy to fire up the yast gui i prefer the zypper way.
cheers

sorry, i do not understand your question but one of these might answer it:
-the GIMP you install with either YaST or zypper will be the same
(so there are no differences)…
-YaST is a GUI program, and zypper is a command line program–so, they
are different in the way the user interacts…however both YaST and
zypper are ways to manage your installed software…

I think you’re confused about “depending on the distribution version.” The “distribution” refers to the version of Linux you have, not the version of Gimp you’ll get.
